What a performance we have just witnessed! The glory was for Forte in the Breeders Cup Juvenile. Here is the 2022 BC Juvenile Recap.

The Baffert-trained Cave Rock was well touted. The next big thing and went to post as the heavy 1/2 favorite here. As the gates opened it was the inside runner Hurricane J and the favorite who headed into the clubhouse to turn neck and neck. The opening quarter went in a rapid 22.9 seconds and halfway down the backstretch Cave Rock shook off Hurricane J and opened a two-length Lead.
Second and third-place performance
National Treasure who broke well from his wide draw had now moved into the third spot with the winner FORTE stalking on the fence. As they exited the backstretch, it was Cave Rock still in front, but Irad Ortiz made his move on Forte and moved off the fence to come three wide into the stretch. From there he had a length to make up, and the writing was on the wall for the favorite as Forte came with a storming run to take over in a deep stretch and pull away to win by a length and a half to cause a huge upset on Future Stars Friday.
Baffert’s National Treasure was a further two lengths behind in third with Blazing Sevens closing on the top three all the way to the wire.
