This race, which is for fillies and mares 3 years and older, is a mile on the dirt for a purse of $100,000. The morning line suggests that we are looking at a two-horse race in this one. Nonna Madeline is in as a 4/5 favorite in the ML, with Sharp Starr currently sitting at 3-2. Those two look like the class horses in a field of six, but upsets are always a possibility.

Demoiselle Stakes (G2) – Race 9 at 3:44 PM EST
We have a field of eight lined up for this 1 1/8-mile dirt race that has a purse of $150,000. It is 2-year-old fillies who will be vying for the win here, with Malathaat as the clear morning line favorite. The Todd Pletcher trained horse is currently sitting at 4/5; with Millefeuille looking to be the closest contender at 7/2 in the ML.

Cigar Mile (G1) – Race 10 at 4:13 PM EST
The big race in the weekend horse racing at Aqueduct is the Cigar Mile, which will cover a mile on dirt. This race is for 3-year-olds and has a purse of $250,000. It’s a strong field of nine horses, with Performer in as the morning line favorite at 7/5. The 4-year-old colt will have some tough opposition, though, with the likes of Firenze Fire (5/2) and King Guillermo (7/2) also catching the eye.
