Florida Derby
White Abarrio rolled to victory in the Florida Derby with Charge It finishing second and Simplification was third.
Classic Causeway was a disappointing last and even though he has enough points to be in the Kentucky Derby field, trainer Bryan Lynch is yet to make a final decision.
Arkansas Derby
We move to Arkansas, as Cyberknife was very impressive while winning the Local Derby with Barber Road finishing second.
Filly Secret Oath made a big move to get into contention but tired and finished third. She will now be chasing lilies instead of roses.
Other Weekend Stakes Recaps
On the Distaff side, Kathleen O dominated the Gulfstream Parks Oaks defeating Goddess of Fire, Yuugiri went gate to wire to take the Fantasy at Oaklawn Park.
At Turfway Park, Candy Raid upset the field at 52/1.
What’s coming up next week?
Coming up this week is the Santa Anita Derby and Oaks from Arcadia, The Wood, and Gazelle taking place at Aqueduct and Keeneland open Friday with the Ashland with the Blue Grass on Saturday.
