Lecomte Stakes Recap
The 8.5 furlong Lecomte is the first of the Road to the Kentucky Derby to award 20 points to the winner.
Instant Coffee was too strong for the field and came home 2 and a half lengths ahead of Four Phils with Confidence Game finishing third. The Brad Cox trainee was ridden by Luis Saez and now sits on top of the points standings with 32.
Pegasus World Cup 2023 Picks & Preview
The Pegasus World Cup will take place at Gulfstream Park this Saturday with seven graded races on the card.
Shantisara is the favorite for the Filly & Mare Turf
The feature races will start with the G2 Filly & Mare Turf where Shantisara is the 2/1 favorite in the Jazz Sports future book. Dalika, making her final career start is next at 7/2. Queen Goddess is at 4/1.
Colonel Liam is out of the Pegasus Turf due to a damaged ankle!
The Pegasus Turf lost a star when two-time winner Colonel Liam was forced to retire with a damaged ankle. This left Ivar as the 2/1 favorite with City Man next on the board at 7/2. The only filly in the race Lady Speightsphere is third in the early wagering at 5/1
Cyberknife is the favorite for this weekend!
In the 3 million dollar Pegasus, we will not get to see the same quality as last year when Life is Good handily beat the horse of the year Knicks Go.
Instead, we will see Cyberknife make his final career start. He is currently 2/1 with Proxy next at 3/1 and the Bob Baffert trainee Defunded at 9/2.
