Tampa Bay Derby
Classic Causeway went wire to wire under Irad Ortiz Junior to win by two and a half lengths to confirm his place among the Derby favorites.
Classic Causeway earned $350,000 and 50 qualifying points in the Road to the Kentucky qualifier to go along with 16 points, he advanced his total to 66, moving past Epicenter.
Giant Game and Major General had disappointing races and have slipped in the rankings.
In the Kentucky Oaks future book, Echo Zulu remains the favorite at 3/1 with Secret Oath at 7/2 should she go in the Oaks and not face the boys in the Derby. Adare Manor is 13/2 while Kathleen O is 10/1.
